Our solution changes that, and offers a way to create a more detailed design of the ship, without requiring additional effort. It uses an advanced configurator that makes use of scenario based configurations.
This configurator is not like anything known to man. This configurator maintains relations between the various ship system components, so that system calculations can be made without requiring the input of an engineer. Also it integrates various aspects that are required for the engineering and building phase, such as the maintenance of cost codes, department codes, purchasing codes etc. And this greatly reduces errors and saves time with the added benefit that designers and cost estimator will have better insight in the actual costing, as the design created, maps better to the actual ship in production.
