Pre contract piping design
Cost and weight estimation currently is a challenge, as it is difficult to determine pipelengths in the early design stage. Therefore often statistical methods are used, based on capacities of connected components and the total shipdimensions.

However pipe length, is not determined by the capacities of components, but is a spatial function of the distance between connected components.
Statistical methods can only be used with very similar reference ships as a basis. But even for those cases it can be said that even a small change in layout can cause considerable estimation errors. For accurate calculations however, a spatial model is required.

Our solution creates a spatial model with 3D diagrams without additional required effort.
Accuracy will be within 5% range. Our solution routes pipes, calculates diameters and determines pipe specifications, in the pre contract phase.

This improves on engineering costs, and on lead time.
