Requirement Management
During the design and engineering phase, the design undergoes continuous refinement, creating a state of constant evolution. It is not always clear
whether each design iteration still aligns with the initial customer requirements. Our solution addresses this challenge by effectively managing the relationship between customer requirements and design changes.
Who, or what is responsible for the fullfillment of the requirement, and how do we prove compliance, that is the core question. The requirement management system links requirement with responsible persons and compliance reports.
There are several requirement management solutions in the market, but those do not integrate well within PLM systems. Our solution however does within our system, which is in effect an advanced PLM system.
With our system it is easy to keep track to compare requirements of various versions of the design. It is easy to track whether a change in a design results in a regression in compliance.
Also our system can help a shipyard to keep its customers informed about the progress, either by sending regular progress reports generated by the system, or allowing them directly into a portion of the system.
